Can I create a Tadpole registry online without an appointment?

Yes. If you already know what you want, you can create your registry online anytime. But our in-person sessions give you expert guidance and ensure you’re covering every category thoughtfully.

Do you provide guided registry consultations?

Yes. We believe the most meaningful way to create a baby registry is in person, guided by our team. That’s why we offer two appointment options:

  • In-Store Foundation ($250 deposit): A private consultation in our
    showroom where we walk you through every major category of baby gear.
  • Concierge Visit (starting at $1,000): We come to your home and build
    your registry with you, tailored to your space and lifestyle.

Both sessions end with a curated registry list and a shareable link for your friends and family. You can reserve your session any time here or in store.

What happens to my $250 deposit?

Your $250 deposit isn’t a fee — it’s an investment. It goes directly toward your larger gear purchases. Plus, once your registry purchases reach $2,500 or more, you’ll earn an additional $250 in store credit.
That means you can receive up to $500 back just for creating and completing your registry with us.

What makes Tadpole different from Babylist and other online registries?

Tadpole isn’t just a website — it’s a curated experience. With us, you don’t scroll through endless products on your own. You get expert, hands-on support, one-on-one guidance, and local services like stroller assembly, car seat installation, and delivery.

Do you only carry strollers and car seats?

No. While we’re known for premium gear, your registry can include everything from nursery furniture to feeding, bathing, and travel essentials. We curate across all categories, not just the big-ticket items.

If an item is out of stock can I add it to my registry?

Absolutely. Our inventory is always changing, things that are in stock today may be out tomorrow and vice versa. Don’t worry, you can add anything on our site to your registry, and your friends can even purchase things that are out of stock. We try to keep tabs on all of our registries but if your shower is coming up and you want to make sure certain items are in stock, just let us know and we will do our best to have them in.

Why should I shop local instead of just registering online?

With Tadpole we're not about just clicking “add to cart.” You’re building your baby’s first world with real guidance, personalized service, and long-term support. And when you shop with us, you’re investing back into the Boston community of parents just like you.

What if my family and friends don’t live in Boston?

No problem at all, your registry link is fully shoppable online. Anyone can purchase gifts, and we’ll handle the fulfillment, storage,
local delivery and or shipping.

Do you offer price matching?

We work hard to stay competitive with national retailers while offering something they don’t: in-person expertise and ongoing
service.

What other services does Tadpole provide?

We offer stroller assembly, complimentary car seat installations for Tadpole customers, delivery options, and access to our Tadpole Lounge for ongoing support.
